Step into a 17th-century Dutch pottery studio. Jan Luyken’s The Pot Maker has apprenticed and spent his life perfecting the art of crafting empty vessels. Of course, that emptiness makes the act of selling a pot much more than simply commerce. It’s an assurance that it will soon contain something meaningful.

The Pot Maker is a single part of Jan Luyken’s sprawling masterwork, The Mirror of Human Activities (Spiegel van het Menselyk Bedryf). Here, the engraving has been reproduced in all its splendor as a limited edition print for you to display proudly in your home or office. In painstakingly recreating this vision from the Golden Age of Dutch fine art, we used only the finest materials and historically accurate techniques.
