Jan Luyken’s The Printer invites us into the small room where he works stamping ink on the pages as they roll through the presses. The room may be small, but the words on the pages are expansive enough to fit the entire known world.

The Printer is a single part of Jan Luyken’s sprawling masterwork, The Mirror of Human Activities (Spiegel van het Menselyk Bedryf). Here, the engraving has been reproduced in all its splendor as a limited edition print for you to display proudly in your home or office. In painstakingly recreating this vision from the Golden Age of Dutch fine art, we used only the finest materials and historically accurate techniques.
